to answer your question, Mary Elizabeth married George Harrison Butler on Dec 23, 1868 at McCall¹s Creek, Amite Co., MS.Mary Elizabeth's death certificate (MS#6812) states she was a housewife, aged 82 yrs and 22 days at her death.She died attended by D. P. Butler, MD at McCall Creek, MS.George Harrison was a soldier throughout the Civil War; Company K, 44th Mississippi Regiment, Blythe¹s Brigade, Hood¹s Corps; wounded at Shiloh, but rejoined his company.Later fought in the Atlanta Campaign and around Chattanooga. Wounded 4 times, twice severely.
