Re: Micajah Tarver/Tarvar, AL/GA
Do you know who Frances Tarver married after Jordan died?Do you know where Frances and her children are in 1870?
In 1860, Frances Tarver (age 52) and her children, John (age 28), Micajah (age 25), Peter (age 22), Mary (age 19), William (age 16), and Jesse (age 12) are living in Fredonia, Chambers County, Alabama.Frances (spelled Francis in census) is listed as born in North Carolina, as well as, her sons, John and Micajah.Peter, Mary, William and Jesse were born in Georgia. In 1880, Peter, Mary and John are living together in Long Cain, Troup County, Georgia. Next door is Jesse and his wife Tilday and their children, Augustus, John and a daughter(can't read daughter's name), and an uncle (name looks like Swim).Micajah and his wife, Susan, and their children are in Cusseta, Chambers Co., Alabama. Frances may be dead by 1880. I was told that she married a man named Cox, but I have no proof of this to date.I cannot find any of this family in 1870 under Tarver or Cox or any variations of the spelling of those names. If I can find them in 1870, then I may be able to prove that this is the right Tarver family for my line.
