Re: Tarver's in Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Claiborne Parish, LA c. 1883-1889
Susan's maiden name was Johnson. Her parents were John I. and Nancy B. Johnson.I found Susan and her parents and siblings in the 1850 Troup County, Georgia census.I couldn't find this family in 1860.Her brothers may have gone off to war and her sisters may have married.Mother may have died from having a baby every year. No way of knowing what happened at this point.Ancestry.com has her father's name as John S. Johnson, but I have studied the census taker's handwriting and the middle initial is definitely an "I" when compared to other names that started with an "I" such as Ingram, Isaac, Israel, etc.The middle initial may stand for Isom/Ison as this name is some how connected to Susan. Again, no way of knowing for sure, at this point.
