Re: another piece of the early Tarver puzzle
Thanks very much for the information on the Tarver connections to Morgan County, Georgia and for your comments.
One of the children of James Garrett and Tabitha Tarver was Billington Malone Garrett (b. 1813).I kept thinking that I had seen the name, Billington, somewhere in the Tarver records online, but couldn't find it.I later realized that I had been thinking of Billison Tarver, so I did a search for that name and found an interesting posting from Tarver researcher, Lotus Cirilo, at the Vasser Family Genealogy Forum (Message 196, dated June 13, 2002).That Message shows that Billison Tarver (d. 1817 Jones Co., GA), a son of James Tarver, married Sally (Sarah or Selah) Vasser, daughter of Joseph Vasser and Tabitha Vick. The names, Joseph and Tabitha, may be significant or just a coincidence. Also, the two "V" surnames made me think of Jonathan V. Tarver.
Yes, I would like to have the full context of the transactions mentioned in your last Message whenever you get the chance to post them.
