I am researching my wifes ancestry, her mother was a Cross descended from the Crosses of Deeping Fen, Gosberton and Surfleet. My wife great grandfathers mother was Susanah sometimes called Susan Tasker (1843-1883) b. Gosberton, who married Joseph Cross (1834-1891)in 1859 and had a large family, many of whom migrated to the Nottingham, Eastwood area along with numerous members of the Tasker family as well. I have traced Susan Taskers ancestry to a certain Thomas Tasker who married a Jane/Susannah Tebb at Quadring in 1800 and I have traced her male siblings familie down to 1920. Can you shed some light on earlier generations? In fact any info on the Tasker family in this area of Lincolnshire would be of interest. I can let you have my findings if you are interested.
