Richard, I don't know if mine is the same Taskey family, but I don't know of any others. My father, Charles Albert Rose, Jr., was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1918. His father, Charles Albert Rosenfeldt (he used Rose all his adult life, 'cause that's what all his friends and co-workers called him. That's even the name he was married under) was also born in Cleveland in the 1890s. I'd have to look up the exact year.
Grandpa Rose's father, John Rosenfeldt (originally Rostalski, according to what my dad's cousin, Ron Rose, said his father told him), married Wilhelmina "Minnie" Taskey in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, on June 24, 1884 (almost certainly in Cleveland). My grandmother Florence Rose said that her mother-in-law, Wilhelmina Taskey, was born in Pennsylvania. They later farmed in Hudson, and are buried there. I've just begun to look into this side of my family, so I can't yet say where in Pennsylvania, or even which cemetery in Hudson. Ron's wife, June Rose, though, did some research on the Roses, and told me she was leaving a copy with the Hudson, Ohio, Historical Society when they moved to Florida after Ron retired as Hudson's postmaster. I plan to get over there after the holidays, and see what she might have found.
If any of this looks like it could connect with the line you're researching, or any other Taskeys out there, for that matter, I'd be delighted to hear of it.
