Re: Teitelbaum new information
Hi, Jennifer.I'm sorry that you have tried to reach me recently and have been unable to.I graduated with my M.S. last semester and my e-mail address has changed (the one that is listed here is current).I don't know if Joseph and I are related, but I did find some new information online that might be useful to you and to the others on this forum.
I found a webpage about a book of recipes that was written by a Rebecca Teitelbaum and several other women in a concentration camp(http://www.chgs.umn.edu/Histories__Narratives__Documen/Fragments/Book_of_Recipes/book_of_recipes.html).My family lived in Poland, we believe, around the time of WWII and the Holocaust, and we are afraid that they were among the many who were lost in the concentration camps.I found the site and wondered if maybe I am somehow related to this Rebecca Teitelbaum. The website seems to have been created by the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at the University of Minnesota (the contact information can be found on this website:http://www.chgs.umn.edu/Contact_Information/contact_information.html)http://www.chgs.umn.edu/Contact_Information/contact_information.html), and I am going to send them a letter when things slow down in my life (I am working on my Ph.D. right now, so I don't know when that will be :) ) to find out if they can help me trace my lineage.
I hope this information helps some. Please keep in touch and good luck learning more about your family!
