Hi Michelle
I'm glad to hear from you. Sorry to hear about the passing of your father. Beatrice was Odilion's wife. My mother is their only child. Odilion died in World War II when he was 24 or 25 years old. He died in Italy of injuries that happened during the war. I agree that this is a family mystery. Too many family secrets. My mother was told by Beatrice that Odilion family changed their name for business reasons. We were told that the family is part German and part Jewish. Back in those days that wasn't accepted and some people don't accept that kind of stuff now. As far as I know Teitelbaum is Jewish and I think Turgeon is German. I'm like a bottle of ketchup a little bit of everything. LOL. So from your response I gather Sam went into the war too. I believe that they also had a sister. It's too bad some family's don't talk about relatives. We would like to know some of our family's history. My mother has wanted to know more since she was a child. She was about 2 and a half when her father died. I'm curious, what state do you live in? We live in Massachusetts. I am a computer dummy so I'm surprised I posted something right. You can e-mail if you want at [email protected] computer is real slow and freeze up a lot but I should be able to get your messages. Lord know I get enough spam LOL..
