The Agnes Telfer born 1856 seems to have died shortly after birth. Alexander Telfer and Jane Prentice had another daughter born Jan. 23, 1856, 8:00 pm at Crawford-dykes, Carluke, also named Agnes. Alexander is then listed as an "Ironstone Miner".
