You requested more information on Matthys Ten Eyck and his wife Janneke Roosa.Matthys (b. March 18, 1658 and d. Jul 6, 1741) and Janneke had ten children:Andries, Aldert, Marytje, Grietie, Wynetie, Jacob Mattysee, Sara, Rachel, Abraham, and Coenradt.
The parents of Matthys were Coenraet Ten Eijck (b. 1617, Moers, Germany; d. 1687, Rensselaerwyck, Albany, New York) and Maria Boel (b. Jul 15, 1622, Koeln, Rheinland, Preussen, Germany; d. 1681, New York). They were married on June 4, 1645 in Amstelveen, Holland.
The parents of Janneke Roosa were Aldert Heymansen Roosa (b. abt 1620, Herwynen, Gelderland, Holland; d ?) and Wyntje Ariens Dejongh (b. abt 1630, Herwynen, Gelderland, Holland; d. April 15, 1660, Kingston, Ulster Co., New York / New Amsterdam).
Matthys is one of five known children.There other four were Maria, Marija, Jacob, and Deryck.I am a descendent of Maria, who married Wessel Wesselsen Ten Broeck.
