Hello. I am researching my great-great-grandfther, Domenico Testa. I am trying to find his children and his parents and beyond (aren't we all??)! This is what I have: Domenico was from Italy. He married Michele Di Beata. THey had children in the Montoria al Vomano region of Italy, namely Villa Campo.
They both lived and died there. I suspect that one or both were born there, as well. One of their children, Cosmo Damian Testa, is my great-grandfather.
Now Cosmo married Laura (Lozii) in the same Italian region. Laura was an orphan and I am unable to determine if her real name was Lozii or if that was her adopted name. Her mother might have been Anna Da Barnabei, but I am not certain on her story, yet.
Getting back to the Testa family, Cosmo brought his bride and three children with him the the US in 1905. The children who sailed over with them were Domenico (namesake of Cosmo's father), Carmine and Celeste (later known as Mary).
Once in the US, they settled in Herminie PA and had three more children, Nickolas, James and Robert. James is still living in a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA and has helped immensely in tracing back. But we are stuck and I am hoping someone can help.
I am seeking any information on Cosmo's parents, Domenico and Michelle and anything one might have beyond them, including their other children and perhaps their parents. I am also seeking Testa descendents of anyone named here, as I would appreciate speaking to any of my long lost relatives.
My request is a big one, I know, but it never hurts to ask!
