Re: Theroux-dit-Landroche in Chippewa Falls, WI

Don, it's been so long since we last corresponded that I don't even remember is I responded. I do not know why the alternate name usage, but there is a Landroche River in the area where they all originated from in Quebec. Across the river and a little southeast from Trois Rivierre. I believe it dumps into the St-Lawrence. The question remains, was it named after the Landroches or were they named after the river? Hmmm... inquiring minds want to know. haha. I think it probably ran across/along a Landroche's property.
