Hello Jane!I have the following children for John Thexton and Margaret née Dacre:- John (1797), Margaret (1803), Betsy (1805), Thomas (1808) and Richard (1811).Margaret née Dacre was buried at Preston Patrick 21 November 1830 and John went on to marry Mary Nelson 7 July 1832 in Kendal.They had a son, Thomas, in about 1834.John was buried at Preston Patrick 3 October 1840 and Mary née Nelson was buried there 10 March 1850.Much of this information is from Neil.

Neil has been researching the Thextons for over 40 years, so I think that he will be able to sort out the parents of the Thomas who married Isabella Fawcett.He is on holiday at the moment, but I will drop him a line as soon as he gets back.

Note that the Thomas bap in 1808 would seem to suggest that a Thomas bap 1795 died in infancy.However, as with a lot of Thexton problems, this might not be straightforward.The Thomas bap 13 November 1808 Heversham son of John and Margaret née Dacre married Jane Akister 6 June 1831 Heversham.They had 8 children and emigrated to Canada.

Bear in mind that the I.G.I. is riddled with mistakes, so keep an open mind!!
