Yeah, Mary, that story made the local Oregonian too.... Strange that there seems to be no one else looking into this man's family.
I don't recall if i told you before but my interest in him is that he was a contemporary of my gg-grandfather, who was a baker (pastry.) They did some business together I know, but other than that?
I suspect that Henry might be GR- a German from Russia, as my ancestor was, and both their surnames show up in the same village in Russia.
In a year, the death records from 1952 will go public and be accessable at the OS Archives. So I guess we'll have to wait until then and request a copy.
