In the book "Beginning at a White Oak" by Beth Mitchell is the information:
Page 264 "Giles Tillet, 198 acres, 4 December 1706, NN #:145 (Northern Neck); Johnathan's Creek adjacent former Normansell tract, now Col. George Mason."
Giles Tillet, 416 acres, 26 November 1717, NN 5:148; Above Occoquon beginning on Asinal Run.This tract was part of a patent for 1200 acres granted William Harris, Thomas Baxter and Burr Harrison.Tillet bought the 416 acres from Giles Vandecastele, who bought it from William Harris, Thomas Baxter and burr Harrison.Tillet doubted the validity of the title and applied for and received a Northern Nect grant."
"William Shadburn and Martha his wife for 1500 pounds (tobacco) sold to Giles Tillet 100 acres, part of tract of 416 on south side Jonathan's Creek joining to Tillet's land. (Pr. Wm. Deeds A:327.14 August 1732)"
