Now that you have the information that leads directly down to me, here is the rest of what I have for Irwin/Erwin Tinkle: (Do we know for sure this is spelled with an E?I tried looking through Polk Co. (Bolivar) census data for 1900 last night and didn't find any Tinkles.)
Irwin married Rose Katherine Cooper on March 19, 1894 in Polk Co. MO.He was born January 20, 1872 in Indiana. He died April 15, 1956.Those are all of the facts I know.Does anyone know if he had a middle name?Does anyone know where Rose came from?We have always guessed Ireland, given her name.
Irwin/Erwin had four children:
Anna Pearl
Bonnie Belle
William (no middle name?)
and James Warren
I can try to get birth years.I only wrote down my grandfather's (James Warren) several years ago.I know where his grave is and have visited it several times.
James Warren Tinkle was born in 1905 in Bolivar, Polk CO., MO.He married Ruth Elizabeth Toll Tinkle on June 12, 1931, presumably near her family's farm in santa Ynez, CA.I have sent away to Santa Barbara Co. for a marriage certificate.I think my uncle has a copy, but I wanted to get my own.Ruth E. Toll was born August 24, 1908 in Pine Bluff, AR.They had four children.
We are certain no one ever married anyone else, unless noted.
They had four boys:
James Robert (my father)
Stanley Richard, born January 23, 1936 (married with 2 children)
Harold Ernest, born January 29, 1941 (dead, married twice, leaving one child)
and David Paul, born July 5, 1942 (married and divorced multiple times, one child)
I hope we are the right branch.
Jennifer
