Hi Susan;
I am Gary D. Tischue, descended from Capt. William Tissue of Turkeyfoot, PA. My family moved west from Nunica, Michigan in the early part of the 20th Century. We presently live in Lacey, WA. a suburb of the State Capitol, Olympia, WA. Most of my ancestors are now deceased. I have a son and a daughter both with the surname Tischue, (my dad changed the spelling when he was young man), he died in 1952 at age 50. This weekend I'll be having dinner with my cousin, Dennis Tissue and his family. A couple of other Tissue members will be there also. We have a lot of fun with the name. You may have heard some of these: Tissme and I'll tissue back! Or my wrestling coach sometimes called me Tearible (Terrible), Tissue, or Tearified, (terrified) Tissue depending on the size of my opponent. I won't go into the obvious that I suffered under a ruthless DI at Marine Corps Boot Camp in the middle 60's. Anyway, feel free to contact us anytime at [email protected]. I have a pretty fair history that I downloaded from Gary Tishue in Boston, MS, but I would think you have that also. Would like to hear from you someday. Shirtail relative, Gary.
