Adam Todd 1782 Ireland 1851 New Brunswick
HI folks,
Adam Todd 1782-1851 of Queens New Brunswick was near match (37 markers) with the Todds of the Ballyalbanagh, Co Antrim family.Since Adam didn't leave Ireland until 1847, he should have been in the tithes.
We find an Adam Todd in Banagher Co Londonderry in 1826 and in Cumber Lower Co Londonderry in 1827, but not the Griffiths. So we assume this is the same Adam who migrated to New Brunswick in 1847.
This is the only DNA sample of Irish Todds outside the Ballyalbanagh area having the DNA pattern of the Ballyalbanagh Todds.
We do not know if Adam himself migrated from the Ballyalbanangh area or if his family had beenin Londonderry for generations.
