I'm pretty sure the researcher's name was John Brooks (Brookes?)but my contact with him was in 1975 or 76 and he was an elderly man then! I do recall that he wasn't a Tolfree himself but was researching it on behalf of someone else - possibly his wife.
When I first got his pencilled tree I spent some time transcribing it in what I vanely hoped was calligraphy onto an A1 sheet of mock parchment. There may well have been transcribing errors and, annoyingly, sometime in the intervening 37 years, I have mislaid his original. However, what I can do is to photograph my section of the transcribed tree - the one that descends from James Tolfree & Martha Blunden (The Basingstoke Branch) - and send it to you as a jpeg or something.Maybe you could do the same for the issue of Charles & Susanna (The Whitchurch branch) and send it to me.That would only leave Richard & Mary's Alton branch and George & Amy's Islington Branch for us to find!
Somewhere I also have a whole tree sent to me years ago by someone in Portsmouth but which I couldn't find any connections with at all.I'll try to find it and send it to you by email in case it joins up with yours.
Regards
Barry
