I just started checking out my family history and came across this link.I don't know that much but my maternal grandmother was Agata Tomasino from Misilmeri...I think.I know she was from around Palermo and the name sounds like Misilmeri.I never saw the name in writing but only remember it phonetically.
Agata Tomasino married Giovanni Sucato and came to the US around 1900.I believe they came in through Philadelphia and settled in Poughkeepsie, New York.
If you have any information on the Tomasino or Sucato family, I would love to hear from you.
