Tomlinson, b. 19 July 1804, Iredell Co., NC, d. 1 Dec 1871, by his first marriage, 12 Jan 1837, Walton Co., GA, to Olivia Jackson, b. 29 Oct 1813, d. 12 Mar 1842, daughter of Samuel Jackson and Orra. Augustus m.2 13 July 1843, Henry Co., GA, Martha Reynolds.

Eleven was the eleventh child of John (Jackie, Jacky) Tomlinson and Tabitha Summers of Iredell, grandson of Humphrey Beckett Tomlinson and Tabitha Wheat, and great-grandson of Hugh Tomlinson and Johanna (Beckett?) of Frederick Co., MD.
