The gravestones in Fair Ridge Cemetery in Chappaqua read:
In Memory of
Martha
wife of
Robert Flewwellin
who died
Oct.12,1831
Aged 55 yrs 6 mos & 16 days

and next to that:
In Memory of
Robert Flewwellin
who died
Sept.22,1810
Aged 66 yrs 9 mos & 16 days

I believe that they are the graves of Robert Flewwellin and Martha Wright.
They are opposite and facing the graves of Isaac Tompkins and Anna Flewwellin.

I found a Wright grave nearby.The stone read as follows:
Else L. WrightThomas
189519731879 1941
1856 Sarah Ann Ash 1921
1851 Thomas1936

I also found another Flewwellin grave.It's a fairly large stone:
John C.
son of
N.D.(?)&H.C.
Flewwellin
Died
May 14, 1895 (?)
Aged 26 years
I'm taking this from a photo I made of the stone and I can't be sure that it's a "9" in the 1895.I'm pretty sure of the "D' in the "N.D.";the only other thing that it could be is an "O".

I also have many other names, dates that I found at Fair Ridge:mostly Tompkins, a Robertson, Martine, Conklin, Bradley. I have photos of many of them, but I didn't get one of Robert's and Martha's stones.
I did not get to see all of the stones at Fair Ridge.I hope to go back there.

Can you tell me the origin of the Flewwellins?Were they English?

Also, do you have any info on Eliza Griffin?I'm trying to find out about my great Grandma Susan Griffin.I haven't been able to turn up anything.

Do you have anything on Enslow Flewwellin from Yorktown, I think?Could he have been the son of Wright Flewwellin and Jemima Tompkins?
