Phillip Tompkins, b. 1775 in NY

Looking for the parents of Phillip Tompkins.He is in the 1800 census living in Philips Twp., Dutchess Co., NY.This township was later incorporated into Putnam County.There were a lot of Tompkins in this area at that time.In about 1805 Phillip moved his family to Northumberland Co., Ontario.His children were: Caleb, b. ca 1795; Reuben, b. 1796; Samuel b. ca 1804; Elizabeth b. 1809; Margaret b. aft. 1818, and possibly one other daughter.Do not know Phillip's wife's name.He died in Ontario 13 April 1853.Any lead regarding his parents would be appreciated.
