3.Living son (b. 1 Oct 1936, Seattle).
Ruth (Inkster) Torrance died 20 Nov 1971 at Seattle.Torchy next married widow Madge E. True (nee Thompson) on 2 Aug 1976 in Seattle. They lived in Seattle until 1990, when Torchy died at the age of 91.Afterwards, she moved to Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai, Idaho, to live with her son.She died there at age 91 on 2 Dec 1996.
Torchy's older sister was Jessie Echo Torrance. She was very intelligent, worked for a time for one of the Harrahs (of hotel fame) and was a lawyer. This was highly unusual for that era.She was fiercely independent, never marrying, and was killed while driving in Los Angeles on 20 Jul 1974.Jessie was 80 years old at the time.
Torchy's older brother was Kirby E. Torrance (b. 7 Jan 1893 in Diamond, WA; d. 23 Nov 1971 in Seattle. He married Beatrice M. Stone on 21 May 1919, probably in Idaho or Texas (where she was born). They had three children, all b. in American Falls, Power, Idaho:Kirby Earl Torrance, Jr. (b. 1921); Eleena Torrance (b. 1923); and William G. (b. 1925).
I hope this helps fill holes in somebody's Torrance/Torrence tree.
