Mrs. Margaret Towler 1811 New York City
I am not a Towler researcher, but I thought those who are may be interested in a tidbit found in the latest issue of the New York Genealogical and Biographical RECORD, Vol 136, #3.There is an ongoing article entitled "Deaths from THE LADIES' MISCELLANY or THE WEEKLY VISITOR, New York, 1811," which lists death notices that appeared in these two old periodicals. On p.216 of the RECORD, there is the following entry:
Saturday, May 4, p.30 [of the original] Coroner's Report
"On Saturday Mrs. Margaret Towler of Spring St. fell dead of an apoplexy in a store at the fly-Market."
Note:The article includes notices from various cities and states, but if no place is mentioned, the death occurred in New York City.
