Re: TRAIN family in Ionia County, MI
Thanks Paul. It looks like brothers Sylvester and Selah Train and families removed to Boston twp, Ionia county, MI around 1838 or so. I'm not sure if their other brother Morton went with them or not. What I'm pretty sure about is that my 3Xg-grandmother, Mary Ann Train was not one of the daughters of Sylvester but was most likely the daughter of Selah Train and Mary Ann Aldrich.
Sylvester, Selah (1790-1864) and Morton Train were the sons of Lemuel Train (1763-1844) and Clarissa Morton who were originally from Whately MA. They then removed to Orange county, VT.
Mary Ann Train (1821-1889) was born in Tunbridge VT and was married to Hiram Benjamin in Buffalo NY in 1837. They then moved to Boston twp, Ionia co. Michigan around 1841-1842 and settled two sections away from the rest of the Tunbridge Train clan. Well, that's what I've got so far from a number of sources.
