This will probably not be of any help but thought since the name matched and Texas is wheresome of my McDaniel kin are located I would go ahead and post. This has been misfiled in the Lawrence Co. Arkansaw County:
From "Lawrence County, Arkansas Loose Probate Papers:1815 - 1890", compiled by Dr. Marion Stark Craig:
page 103:
McDaniel, James
d. - date not included.
Inv.:16 March 1878
Widow:Jane McDaniel
Misfiled here is a guardianship paper on a minor, May McCarroll.
McDaniel, James (Mislabeled.Should be W. T. Tramel)
The only papers here concern the 18 Dec. 1861 Bond of James McDaniel as Adm'r of the estate of W. T. Tramel, dec'd.
page 183:
Trammel, William T.
d.c. 1861
Adm'r:18 Dec. 1861, James McDaniel appt'd.
Heirs (18 Dec. 1861):Lydia P.A.S. Trammel (widow) was the sole heir. She later married a Mr. Freeze.
Included in folder is a bill dated 4 February 1862 rendered this date by John McDaniel against the estate of William T. Trammel, dec'd.I quote: "To careing clothing and scooling (sic) said deceased wife Minerva from the 9th. day of December 1845 to 17 July 1859 thirteen years and a half at seventy five dollars per year --- $1012.50.To careing and clothing (in 1860) said deceased step daughter Sarah eleven months --- $60.00.To careing and attention paid to deceased infant daughter Louisa Jane two months and twenty days --- $27.00.Total $1099.50."
(The above bill requires some study by any who might be interested.Does it mean that William T. Trammel had a deceased wife named Minerva, and a deceased daughter, Louisa Jane, and deceased step-daughter, Sarah?MSC)
