OBIT - TREADGOLD, DORIS IRENE (BELL)

This is an obit of a person that has died in Canada.
THIS IS NOT a relative of mine.
TREADGOLD, DORIS IRENE (BELL): Born in Lethbridge, Alberta on June 4, 1922. Passed away peacefully at home with family at her side on July 25, 2007. Irene is survived by her loving family: husband, Bill; sons, Tom (Debra), Jamie (Kathleen); daughters, Julie (Bill) Benson, Wendy (Dennis) Hamilton, Nancy (Al) Smith and Cathie (Dave) Pavlik; fourteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Irene will also be missed by her sisters: Babs (Morgan) Stewart and Dorothy Lee; brother, Dave (Joan) Bell. Bill and Irene met during WWII while stationed at Pat Bay, Vancouver Island. They were married in Vancouver in 1945 and began their new life in Kelowna, Bill’s hometown. Irene embraced motherhood and selflessly dedicated 62 years to her family. Irene’s extraordinary courage and loving thoughtful ways will remain an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. A special thank you for the support from: Dr. Auret VanHeerden, Dr. H. Aldous, Interior Health Home Support, Palliative care support team, Tender Loving Care Home Support and Robert Cairon (The Department of Veteran’s Affairs). A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2007 from St. Michael’s Cathedral Church, 608 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna.
