Hi Denise. Re: Joseph Trepanier married to Emma.Your grandmother Lydia Taetsch (nee Trepanier) was born Marie Leda Trepanier and sister to my grandfather Andrew Joseph Trepanier.Lydia was born on July 7, 1890 in Windsor, Essex City, Ontario, Canada. She was the first born of nine children to Jean Baptiste Trepanier and Emma Marie Trotechaud. I know you were looking for Joseph but my mother is still living and knows our great grandfather was Jean (John) Baptiste Trepanier. He died in Norway, MI in 1947 and Emma died in 1966.A second child, Louis, was also born in Essex City, Ontario, but the other seven children were born in Vulcan and/or Norway, MI.They were Alfred, Victor, Joseph, Andrew, Arthur, Mary and Edward. Andrew, my grandfather, died in Dec 1945 and my mother, Dorothy, was living with Victor at the time.I was about 10 years old when Victor died so I do remember him. We've traced our Trepanier ancestors back to Normandy, France. It was Romain De Trepagny born April 19, 1627 in St. Pierre De Muchedent, Normadie who migrated to Quebec and then married Genevieve Drouin on Apr 24, 1656.I am 11 generations.I've been to St. Pierre De Muchedent and was able to go into the tiny church and see the records. The church was built between 1100 and 1200 AD.I can send you every generation if you are still interested.
