I have not been able to tie my William to this line. There were several Wm's in IL and Michigan. Mine was born in Devon, Devonshire England in 1828. He came to the US in 1851 according to his bio in an History of Peoria Co. book listing. He did have a brother James who shows up on several census records living with him. He reported that they came in through Nova Scotia in 1851. I have not been able to find a passenger list to see exactly when he came and with whom. I think mine did own property in Ford Co., I went to the courthouse in Peoria to copy several wills but ran out of cash for photocopies before I could get everything I needed. I hope to get back down there soon to get the rest of what I need. I do remember a reference to some land in Ford County in his will but I dont have the reference numbers to find out where it was or when he bought it. This is about all I have, once I get back to the courthouse I will have more to go on but this is all I have for now. There is a headstone in a small cemetery for a Mary Trigger but we have not been able to figure out who she is. I will look up the photograph of the headstone and let you know what is says. Thanks hope to here from you soon. Peggy email me @ Donahoo @mtco.com
