Hello, Teresa, I can't tell if we are from the same Quick line or not. Here's what I have on this.
John Trigger (1790-1857) married Mary Quick (1785-1855) in England. They and most of their nine children immigrated to the US around 1851 and eventually settled near Peoria, IL. Their third son was Richard Trigger, from whom I'm descended. Richard settled in Ford County by 1869 and apparently acquired a fair amount of land there. Some of that land is still in my family.
So I can't see any direct relationship. My Triggers and Quicks were from Devonshire County in England. There were a lot of Triggers and even more Quicks living in that area at that time (and probably still are). So it's quite possible there is some relationship in the lines, but it sounds as though it would have been back in England vs. in the US.
Please let me know if you have any other information that might help! Good luck.
Kevin
