Elaine, I have some pictures of Samuel's stone, taken last month. If you'll send your mailing address I'd be happy to send you a couple of them.Bethuel also has a new stone placed where he is thought to have been buried, in the Strobridge Cemetery, less than a mile from where Samuel is buried and about 100 yards from the home place (which is, by the way, still partially standing). On Bethuel's stone it notes that he was born a Trowbridge and died a Strobridge. Bethuel married Rachel Scott on 21 Sep 1810 by Rev. James Walls. He died 1850. My g-grandfather William was the youngest of six children, born on 10 January 1831.Served briefly with the 67th Virginia during the Second War of Independence. He, in turn, had somewhere between 15 and 22 children. We know of atleast 15. I have other information on Bethuel if you are interested. Question:Did any other of Bethuel's children become Strobridges or just my line of the family.
