Ivan C. Trulock
TAYLORVILLE - Ivan C. Trulock, 97, of Taylorville died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, at his home.
He was born Nov. 24, 1908, in Mount Zion, the son of Henry Benjamin and Bertha Pennington Trulock. He married Ethel Burke in 1929; she preceded him in death. He married June Bare in 1983. He also was preceded in death by a son, Gary Trulock; daughter, Shirley Lee Corzine; and stepson, Thomas Fishel.
Mr. Trulock was U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a retired farmer.
He was a member of the American Legion and Taylorville Christian Church, where he was a past elder and deacon.
Survivors: wife, June; three stepsons, John Dennis (wife, Nancy) Fishel of Albuquerque, N.M., Gary Michael (wife, Becky) Fishel of Springfield and Floyd (wife, Jill) Short of Taylorville; two stepdaughters, Linda (husband, Roger) Jones of Taylorville and Judy (husband, Marlowe) Schlegel of Columbia, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 15 stepgrandchildren; sister, Marge Anderson of Mowequa; and six nieces and nephews.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Taylorville Christian Church, the Rev. Dick Wamsley and the Rev. Ben Merold officiating. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Assumption.
Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
