I noticed you have Tucker's in Faulkner Co., AR which is just below Van Buren & Cleburne and next to White Co., AR.
My Mary "Polly" Tucker (b. @1797 NC) married Hugh A. Moore (b. 1790s in Ireland) at the home of George Tucker in 1819 in White Co., TN.I do not know that it makes George Tucker her FATHER but it must mean he would have been close in some way.
Hugh A. Moore had a brother, William Moore (b. 1786-1790 Ireland), who married a UNITY Tucker (b. @1794 NC) in 1813 Roane Co., TN and their Sur. was William Davis (who I believed was connected to the Tucker side, I have never seen him connected with any Moore's).
Hugh A. & William Moore had a sister, Jane Moore (b. @1795 Ireland) who married John Tucker (b. @1782 NC) and I am not sure of the connection there but he is probably connected to Unity & Mary Tucker.
I am almost positive that Unity and Mary Tucker were sisters because I have heard that the descendents in Van Buren Co., AR were "double cousins."But John & Jane Moore Tucker had moved on to Wright Co., MO by 1850 and I have not located any descendents to talk to.
William and Unity Tucker Moore had moved from the Roane Co., TN area to McMinn Co., TN between 1843-1846.In 1870 McMinn Co., TN a Lee Roy Tucker (b. @1800 NC) was living between the sons of Wm. Moore & living with a family of Black people (who may have been former slaves of Wm. Moore) named Fields.I would suspect he is related to Unity Tucker Moore.
In the middle 1850s Mary "Polly" Tucker Moore and all except one of her married children & their families left Roane Co., TN and moved to Van Buren Co., AR.Mary had been a widow and had a land grant from her husbands service in the War of 1812 and I do not know if that spurred the move or whether they had relatives that had gone ahead.I noticed on Joan Flatt's list of Land Abstracts it showed a Mary B. Tucker 1838 in White Co., AR and a Wm. Tucker 1838 Conway Co., AR and John Tucker 1822 Conway Co., AR.I do not know that they are related but they MIGHT be?
I also noticed you had mentioned a Charlotta Tucker in your line (before mine) and my Mary "Polly" Tucker Moore named her first daughter Charlotta (born 1818 TN), since she had not married Hugh A. Moore yet I assume the Charlotta might have been for someone in her own family.
I had thought with an unusual name like UNITY or Una or Uni it would be EASY to track into a family connection but it has not helped. And of course Mary does not send up flags since every surname in the world seems to have 10,000 Mary's or variations of Mary. And John Tucker is not unusual either.
James Moore, son of Wm. & Unity Tucker Moore served in the Civil War.On the 1911 Van Buren Co., AR Civil WarCensus James Moore said George Moore of Roane Co., TN, was Father of James'own Father, William Moore. That was not true, George Moore was UNCLE of William Moore, William Moore's Father was Noble Moore who died in Ireland, Uncle George Moore had sent for, or returned for, Noble Moore's widow & children. So when James Moore also said that George Tucker of White Co., TN was Father of James' Mother, Unity Tucker Moore I was not positive he might not have been a kindly Uncle also?
I have never been able to prove a connection between the George Tucker of White Co., TN and Mary "Polly", Unity, Lee Roy & John Tucker. All are from NC but there are so MANY Tucker people from NC!
Also, after the Civil War, the two grandson's of Mary "Polly" Tucker Moore (the son's of Charlotta Moore Goodman), William Lon C. Goodman and George Goodman had gone to the area of Cairo, Alexander/Pulaski Co., IL and I always wondered why?But it seems there were Tucker's in that area?I wondered if they were visiting relatives?
I wondered if you had heard of any connection with the Unity, Mary & John Tucker I mention?
