Hi Nita!
My Grandmother was Maggie Miranda (Sexton) Swetnam. She was married first to Charlie Tugwell. She had two children from him, First, my Aunt Effie, who married Elmer Cummings. I think possibly you were mistaken when you said that Jesse's sister lived nearby in Caddo. Perhaps you meant Tula's sister, Aunt Effie, who lived near Caddo. Maybe, maybe not. Tula was the second Tugwell child. Tula married Jesse Watkins.
The one I am really interested in is the adopted daughter who was living with Jesse Watkins in the 1930 Census. I never even knew she existed. Do you have her name, dates of birth and death, marriage info or absolutely any information about her?
You asked when Aunt Tula lived in Hanford. I have the obituary for my Grandmother, Maggie Swetnam from the Drumright paper. She died 22 June, 1927. It states that she is survived by Mrs. Tula Watkins and Mrs. Rondamay (Swetnam) Honley of Hanford, California. Rondamay was my Mother. It says she was also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Virginia (Sexton) Bridge and Mrs. Bettie (Sexton) Tugwell, both of Drumright. Virginia was married to Thornton Bridge. I hope this ties up some loose ends and that you can help me with that adopted daughter of Jesse's. Have a great week!
