My database is compiled from Census information and Rees Tulloss' genealogical correspondence.I have the following:
Leonard Tillis {Tullis in 1900} born Feb 1861 in TX, son of Mitchel "Mitch" Tillis and his wife Emily.Information about Mitch Tillis was provided to Rees Edgar Tulloss in 1920 by Mitch's grandson William R. Tullos of Haehita, NM.
Mitchel was born 1826/1827 in MS, son of James Tullos and Mary Sullivan. He married Emily about 1849 and by 1860 was in Trinity, TX.
James was born about 1788 in Duplin, NC, son of Willoughby Tullos and Anna Mills. He married 19 Jul 1810 Amite, MS, Mary Sullivan.James died in 1860 in Oakville, Live Oak, TX.
Willoughby Tullos was born about 1756 in Bedford, VA, son of Richard Tullos and Elizabeth {probably surnamed Temple}.He married about 1785 Anna Mills and they moved to MS about 1811.They were wealthy land and slave owners.
Richard was born 1 Jan 1701 in Northumberland, VA, son of John Tulloss and Barbara Mason. He married Elizabeth by 1730 and died 1771 in Cumberland, NC.
