Lavina Tullis Dunlap, b. 1818 d. 1895 AL
My ancestor, William O. Dunlap, (1812-1899) received a pension as a results of time he spent in the "Indian Wars".In his pension application, he states the following:
"Enlisted at Franklin, Heard Co., GA on the 31st day of May, 1836, for the term of 3 months & was dis harged at West Point, Troup Co., GA on the 19th day of Aug 1836.That he is now married; that the maiden name of his wife was Lavina Tullis to whom he was married at Jacob Waits in the State of Georgia, on the 18th day of January 1838"

Dunlap.Newell also moved toCoosa Co. & lived there before William & Lavina moved to the area.Newell moved prior to their arrival.Lavina may have been a sister?
