Re: DESCENDANTS OF CLAUDIUS TULLOS W/ DATES AND PLACES
The statment that the father of James Albert Tullos was either Albert (Byrd) Tullos or Byrd AlbertTullos was confusing.Although my nephew Preston posted the information on the Tullos Genforum, it was my work. Some of it was incorrect, especially concerning Willoughby Tullos.
Since I found no records in the early censuses of a Byrd and Flora Tullos, I now believe that the father of James Albert, my great grandfather was also James Albert married to Flora (Maiden name unknown) found in 1860 U.S. Census in Tyler County, Texas.
Also in the Confederacy Roster of Texas, immediately above the list of J. A. Tullos was listed A. Tullos, both serving in Terry's Texas Calvary. This should not be confused with Alfred or Alfrey Tullos who served in another Texas Confederate unit.I believe that A. Tullos was my great-great grandfather.
Unfortunately, in my family we have no information as to what happened to A. Tullos or his family, however some were located in the residence of Stephen J. Tullos and Edwin Tullos after 1870.
