Re: Tusons of Lancashire

Hi. I have an ancester Marie Cusson dit Tuson. She may have been born about 1827 in St Jean Quebec and died at St Bernard de Lacolle Quebec in 1911.Her parents were supposed to be Pierre Cusson and Marguerite Dubois. Cusson is an old French name but Tuson is not. There seems to be some connection with the surname Tusent, but heavens knows what that is. Could this have been a question of pseudo- adoption, as there is no record that I can find about birth or baptism? I could use your help.
