Mrs. Elizabeth Tyl , 84, of 52193 Harvest Drive, dies at 9:15 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.She was born on Nov. 2, 1895, in South Bend, and had lived here all her life.She married Boleslaw Tyl who dies Sept. 28, 1974.Surviving are a son, Florian of South Bend; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Josephine Brandt of Michigan City, and a brother, Casimir Beczkiewicz of South Bend.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in St. Hedwig's Catholic Church.Rev. Matthew Sienkiewicz, pastor, will officiate.Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.Friends will be in call from 2 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday at the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home, where a parish wake will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.She was a member of the Polish Falcons 6th district, Legion of Honor Circle, whose members will observe a wake service at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home.The M.R. Falconettes, Nest 200, will hold a prayer service at 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.Mrs. Tyl was also a member of the Polish Woman's Allianca Group 65, Ladies of the St. Hedwig's Holy Rosary Society, Legion of Honor, the Grandmother's National Federation Clubs of America, the Pulaski Post 357 Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion and the Daughters of Isabella Circle 572.
