Sheila,
Martha Chapman Tyndall lived in MN near her brother Benjamin who came to Canada ca. 1831, WI in 1852, and MN ca. 1869, her brother Henry who came to MN ca. 1869, and her sister Anne Chapman Johnston who came to MN ca. 1869.They all had large families and four, I think, of Anne's kids married cousins.
Gavin, Peter, and John Tyndall were all children of William and Anne Richardson Tyndall. I have John dieing before 1825 at perhaps 25 years of age, but only because he wasn't mentioned in the deed cited below. What information do you have of him and his family? I believe there was an oldest brother William, a sister, Martha who died at age 14-15, a brother Samuel who died young, and a sister Catherine.
There is a gravestone at Dunganstown chruchyard that reads:
"by Mrs. Anne tindall to her husband William Tindall of Maughery March 1805 aged.... and his dau. Martha Tindall 17 Sept 1814 (15) and his son John Tindall"This I have visited and seen.
The following I have via email:
Deed books contain the followng: ...25 April 1825...
"No. 547087 Brownrigg to Tyndall: Henry John Brownrigg of the City of Dublin Esq to Anne Tyndall.... 15 acres 2 roods 15 perches for the lives of William Tyndall then of age 26 Gavin Tyndall 24 years and Peter Richardson Tyndall 20 years first third and fourth sons or[?] 31 years.... from 25 March lastRent L30 along with sixpence in the pound Receiver's fee.Witnessed by Sanham Symes and Robert Symes as above."
Got to run for now.Let me know how this looks to you.
Gary
