I am Henry Ansley Ulm III, my grandfather was Henry Ansley Ulm, Sr., brother of Walter Knox Ulm. Their father and mother were Elhanley Winchester Ulm born August 18, 1863 in Houston County, Georgia and died October 1936. He married Marquerite Overby born September 29, 1879 on July 30, 1899 at New Hope, Georgia, she died Janurary 31, 1910. They had three sons and one daughter. They are both buried at Oakridge Cemetery on Old National Highway in Tifton, Georgia. Elhanley and his brother and sister were raised by their Aunt Betsy in Houston County, Georgia, because their parents died of typhoid fever. Elhanley's father and mother were Ansley Henry Ulm born 1825 in Macon County, Georgia and married Louisa Trappe born 1830 in Macon County, Georgia on October 19, 1858 in Macon County, Georgia. They had two sons and one daughter. Ansley Henry Ulm's father and mother were Henry Ulm born 1793 in Edgefield, S.C. and died in 1876. He married Elender ? born 1791 in Edgefield County, S.C. They had five sons and three daughters. Henry Ulm's father was Franz Ulm born 1755 Palatine of the Rhine, which is part of Germany. Franz went to England at 10 years old as a refugee during the Seven Year War. His parents died while in London. King George III sent these German refugees to America in October 1764, they arrived in Charleston, S.C. on December 24, 1764 and settled in the German settlement of Londonborough (Hard Labour Creek, Edgefield County, S.C.). He had 10 children.
