Upshaw-Markham

For anyone that would like to follow another Upshaw line, I have recently uncovered more descendants of Sarah Elizabeth Upshaw Markham, the widow of John Bunyon Markham.

Their oldest daughter Permelia Ann Markham married first James Jim Adams in Bienville Parish, Louisiana in 1861. They had one daughter, James Ann Virginia Adams, who married Charles M Henderson. After her first husband died, Permelia married Thomas Whitfield Barrington and had several children.

Another child of Sarah Elizabeth Upshaw Markham, Tabitha Markham, married Thomas Jefferson Johnson and had several children.
