I read your posting with interest.You mentioned a Matthew Utley.I was given some information by a lady in Huntingdon Co., PA who was descended from the Utleys.Our earliest names go back to Elijah, Matthew, and Jonas Utley.Elijah was supposedly born in England and was already living in Huntingdon County when it was formed from Bedford County in 1787.I only know of one child, named either Jas. or Jos., who married Polly Chilcoat and had five children, John (1817), Rebecca, Mary Ellen, Matthew, and Joshua.Might there be a connection?
