I am a descendent from John Price Utley 1851 Morgan AL. His Father was William H. utley 1826 TN and mother was Nancy J. Mayfield Morgan AL. He also had a older brother James 1850.
Something happened to William H. Utley between 1850 and 1860.When the next AL census came out in 1860 he was missing, I think divorce maybe death but there was no William H Utley and Nancy J. Utley became a Lowery.
I have been trying to find out what happened to William H. Utley's and who his father is.
I think John and Aggy Utley had William H. Utley because there was no Utley's in this part of AL.(I think) before John and Aggy showed up.
Maybe John came from your Utley's.
The census in Williamson TN states Agnes (Aggy) Long died in Morgan AL and was married to a John Utley. Now in the 1830 TN census I counted the number of children they had. Then I counted the number of children they had in the 1840 census, when they finally started publishing every ones name in the 1850 census in AL they were missing 1 male and in 1850 a William H. Utley married a Nancy J. Mayfield and had two children. The William H. Utley fell off the face of the earth.
Maybe they were a descendent of your Utley's. Why would they name my John PRICE Utley with the middle name Price?
Who knows?
I hope you can decifer all of this, I think I am even confused. If you can provide me with any help it would be appreciated.
