An Associated Press news story on page one of the Los Angeles (CA) Herald, 10 Dec 1906, reported that a demented miner armed with two revolvers began shooting in a crowded trolly car leaving Jackson, Ohio, for Wellston.He instantly killed Harry WHITE, "mortally wounding" J. D. VANATTA, of Newark, Ohio, and wounded J. E. KINNISON, Jackson's superintendent of public schools.The shooter was fatally shot by citizens.
