Sorry to hear of Ron's death. Sounds like he had a tremendous amount of knowledge about the Vandercook line. It also sounds like you have learned a tremendous amount. Do you have a suggestion for those of us just getting started, as to what would be a good available source for the family history. I know Ron had a book out there; I have not been able to locate a copy. I am a descendant of Cornelius V. and Marya Mandeville. My grandfather, Del C. V. was Roy C. V.'s brother. Any direction would be appreciated. I do have some info on the line going back to my gg grandfather Isaac Henry and Harriet Simmons, if anyone is interested.
