Vanns of Gates County North Carolina

I am looking for information on black and white Vanns from Gates County, North Carolina, specifically the Hasletts and Drum Hill sections. My Great-Grandfather was Moses Vann, an African-American 1834-192?. After the Civil War he lived on and eventually purchased approximately 20 acres of land from Mills Vann. This White Vann family was descended from Harrison Vann and a wife by the name of Julia. Julia was the daughter of Mills Fields who died in 1834. In his will, Mills left Julia's children a slavewomen by the name of Lotty. If anyone has any information on this particular Vann family, please email me directly at [email protected]
