Re: ALL VANNOY PLEASE TAKE A LOOK!
I have been researching my French ancestors
on my paternal grandmother's side. Her father was George W. Fouratt. Having gotten pretty far on that side I am trying to find other family lines on my g grandmother's side (Tuttle-McCormick) which leads to an lizabeth Van Noy. I, too, thought, the name might be German, but now I see I have French on both sides. Do you know more about the Van Noys?Elizabeth married Francis McCormick early 1800's.Her father was Peter Vernooy Van Noy b. 1753 & his wife was Hannah Concklin which actually ties into my Tuttle/ Tuthil/Corwin /Concklin lines. I can not get back farther than Peter. Do you know when the Van Noy's came here? Most of mydirect family migrated from either Mass. or Ny to LI., NY then to NJ & then my father lived for a time in Pa., but returned to NJ. Hope you can help. Diane Tuttle Burleigh
