Re: Varasky ?
An ALL site for research in Slovakia:
www.iabsi.com/gen/public(believe me all there)
In 1874 no Czechoslovakia but Austria-Hungary:
Our ancestors married within same region, religion (few exceptions) but for sure one common language to communicate in.
The term Czech is used incorrectly by many who are researching. It is a new term and was not used at the time of your ancestors.
A map of Czechoslovakia www.cgsi.orgRuthenia ended up and now it is part of Ukraine.
Village Visnov is in Slovak Republic and not Czek (sp?).
POLAK in Secovce's phone book. VARASKI does not correspond with Slovak grammar.SKY would be Slovak ending.I can find a VARACKY
From what document are you getting the spelling VARASKI?Is it an US document?
